2005 Spotlight Awards: Call for Entries & Judges

For the second year in a row, the nine Southern California STC chapters are sponsoring a Spotlight Awards technical communication competition that provides you with an opportunity to showcase your talent as a writer and artist. If you are interested in receiving valuable feedback on your recent publications and gaining recognition for your hard work, enter this year’s competition! You can enter publications in any of these categories:

The due date for all entries is September 13, 2005; however, if you send your entries in before September 1, you will receive a $10 discount per entry! Entry fees start at $75 for STC members and $100 for non-members. There is a price incentive for entering multiple entries at the same time, so gather all your stellar documentation and enter it today at http://www.ocstc.org/competition.asp. This Web site also contains additional information about the competition.

Judges and other volunteers for the competition are still needed. As a judge, you’ll see some of the best work in technical communication, help to set the standards for excellence in our profession, and add prestigious experience to your résumé. This year we will be trading entries with the Houston STC chapter (i.e., they will judge our entries and we will judge theirs).
